Thank you to everyone who has expressed their views on our blog. We have added a link to a quiz site if you'd like to test your knowledge. Also by the end of the day, we hope to put some Guns n Roses and maybe a You Tube video by Jamiroquai. Keep checking.
If anybody would like to see a particular video or would like more information about an artist leave us a comment asking for what you'd like and we'll do our best to oblige. 'Till next time, Cindie

I love your blog, its really cool. I enjoyed watching the videos too, that hard style one is brilliant, kept me mesmorised for a while.

I agree that music does have a big affect on your moods. Its good to put an upbeat song on when your feeling down, it soon lifts your spirits (well it does mine any way).

Brilliant blog, hope you keep posting :)

Hi Dushey, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I meant to reply to your comments sooner but was unable to do so. After reading the comments you left, I decided to do a little more research regarding music and it’s effects on ones enviroment.

The link below is a study in relation to patients with Alzheimer’s and the positive effects in mood with music.

http://faculty.uccb.ns.ca/~gcarre/courses/health/music.htm

The link below covers a wider range of the effects of music including things such as…

The Dance of Plants
From An Animal's Perspective
The Physics of Sound and Music
Body Mind and Spirit

http://www.vanillafudge.com/link_backups/music2.htm

This I found to be very interesting stuff. I hope you do too!
Kind regards Cindie

definitely agreed. I love music for all these reasons. I also "hate" reggae music. I think I just don't understand its redundancy though. Your comment about Alzheimer's is very interesting... I'd love to see some case studies about the effects of music on ones environment.

I'm wondering if by listening to 'rap' music, the inner city is a little bit more rowdy. And if listening solely to country music, all of Texas is a little bit 'slower.' (I tease).

Interesting stuff. I'm a dreadful one for singing away to myself even though I can't carry a tune in a bucket! I can only have instrumental music on while I'm working though. Otherwise I start typing the words of the song instead of what I should be doing!
