Rave

A rave (or rave party) is the term in use since the 1980s for dance parties (often all-night events) where DJs and other performers play electronic dance music, sometimes referred to as “rave music”, with the accompaniment of laser light shows, projected images, and artificial fog. Popular rave dance styles include breakdancing, popping and locking, shuffling, glowsticking, liquid dancing, and poi. Rave parties are often associated with the use of “club drugs” such as ecstasy, LSD, amphetamines and, more recently, ketamine and 2C-B.

“RAVE”

Less intense forms of rave music include Ambient Music and Chillout Music, usually used in separate areas called “chillrooms”. Most ravers move from one area to another to find great satisfaction.

House music often has roots in Funk and Disco, while Trance has it roots in New Age and Symphanic music. Many DJ’s remix existing sounds.

Many ravers are closely tied to the drug “Ecstasy”, because it enchances there experience, saying the music sounds clearer, Crisper and more “fluid”. But alot of people are against using drugs, saying “The music itself is enough”.
